From first referral consultation to 6 weeks check post surgery I have nothing but admiration for the outstanding outcome of a completely pain free right hip following total replacement. I realise that decent analgesia is helpful post surgery but to awake from surgery in recovery pain free seemed miraculously unbelievable!
Professional but engaging bedside manner, clear explanations and realistic expectations. St Michael’s hospital staff were also very supportive and helpful.
I did not have my surgery at Treliske but St Michael’s (I can’t select this option below)

I am an Orthopaedic Hip surgeon dealing with all types of Hip related problems.
I am best known for having a special interest in younger adults with hip pain when no arthritis is apparent.
I also deal with Hip arthritis and complex hip deformities.
I have 15 years of experience as a Consultant managing young adults with hip problems and a large experience of Hip arthroscopy, open Hip impingement surgery and a wide range of hip replacements including hip resurfacing in very high demand people.
I undertake over 100 hip arthroscopies every year and approximately 200 hip replacements. I perform revision hip replacements and reconstructive surgery for more unusual deformities.
